3 Biggest Triggers to Autoimmune Disease

Autoimmune diseases are becoming more and more common, which is not a good thing but that’s the fact!! There are many reasons this is happening but in today’s video I want to focus on what I believe are the 3 biggest triggers for these complex diseases. Known as the autoimmune triad, these triggers have been found to be underlying all autoimmune diseases so lets dive in and take a look at what they are and then my final tip on the best place to start when treating any autoimmune disease.

Just so you are aware of what an autoimmune disease is, this is where your dogs immune system actually turns on the body and can start attacking certain body organs or systems. Basically your dogs immune system is in a state of confusion and has become overactive. Common autoimmune diseases include inflammatory bowel disease, thyroiditis, lupus, and immune mediated polyarthritis. Treating an autoimmune disease either conventionally with medications or naturally or a combination if both, can be quite challenging and its certainly not a disease to take lightly. So if your dog has been diagnosed with some autoimmune disease, please make sure you are working with your vet and or an holistic practitioner who understands how complex these can be to treat. That means that avoiding them is far better than having to treat them. And when you know what can potentially trigger them, this can go a long way towards their prevention. These 3 triggers are often referred to as the autoimmune triad and all autoimmune diseases have these in common as I mentioned earlier and the first one is really dependant on the other two.
