Why Is It Always My Dog?

One of the most common questions I hear from dog owners is this…“Why is it my dog?”
“My neighbour feeds the same food and their dog is fine…” or “Two dogs in the same house — one is healthy, the other has constant skin or gut issues…” Or simply…“I’ve tried everything… so why is my dog still not well?”
If you've ever felt that, you're not alone. And the truth is — it’s rarely about bad luck, and it’s rarely about one single mistake. It’s usually something much more layered than that.
After more than 35 years working as an animal and human naturopath, one thing has become very clear to me. No two chronic cases are ever the same. Two dogs can present with identical symptoms…itchy skin, recurring ear infections, yeast overgrowth…But the reason those symptoms developed can be completely different. That’s why I often say: Every dog has a story.
And when we only focus on the symptoms, we miss that story entirely. But when we slow down and look at how the pattern developed, we start to understand what the body has been dealing with over time. Watch to learn more in this week's video!!!
